Well, let’s hope so. We have 2 new nodes running and ready for deployment.
These do not have filtering, so nothing near cell towers.
On the topic of cell towers… We have RF filters on order for WFR1 to see if that will resolve our issues there. Today I was at the site and sent a test message from the dirt road about a 1/4 mile from the tower (arrow in picture) and it seemed to get out pretty well. I was only able to get a trace route to WFR1 about 200 yards away. I certainly haven’t given up on the site, but it is not working at this point.
One more thing of note: A friend of mine had a great suggestion. He recommended either putting the nodes in metal boxes or lining them with copper tape to shield the nodes from RF going directly into the node’s PCB board. We might try that too.
